About What exactly is a fanlisting? TFL.org says, ''A fanlisting is simply an online listing of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join. There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name and country. Fanlistings do not have to be large sites (although some are) - they are just a place where you can have your name listed along with other fans of the same subject. TheFanlistings.org is the original (but not official) web directory for fanlistings, dedicated to uniting the fans.' CATS According to Wikipedia, CATS is a musical composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber based on Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats and other poems by T. S. Eliot. Although it has never been critically acclaimed, CATS is one of the most popular musicals of all time having been performed around the world in numerous productions (the show has been translated into over 20 languages). Growltiger's Last Stand Growltiger first appeared in T.S. Eliot's poem "Growltiger's Last Stand." The Terror of the Thames, the pirate is now verry tattered and injured by the Siamese and Persians, his sworn enemies. Determined to seek revenge on the Siamese who mauled his missing ear, he roams the sea, searching for them with his crew. However, he becomes so distracted by the lady Griddlebone that the Siamese board the ship and make him walk the plank. When Andrew Lloyd Webber made a musical based on the book of poems, Growltiger and Griddlebone were not real characters but a memory scene from when Gus the Theatre Cat played Growltiger on the stage. Griddlebone is usually played by Jellylorum, with Munkustrap, Skimbleshanks, The Rum Tum Tugger, and Mr. Mistoffelees making up the crew. Growltiger usually sings a duet with Griddlebone. In the original London version this song was "The Ballad of Billy M'Caw," but in Broadway a new opera style song was written: "In Una Tepida Notte." "Growltiger's Last Stand" was not included in the 1998 video because Sir John Mills was unable to perform the very active song - it was instead replaced by "The Pekes and the Pollicles." I do not own or have anything to do with CATS. It's a copyright of T.S. Eliot and The Really Useful Group. This is simply a fanlisting for their wonderful character Growltiger as well as his tragic last stand! Credits Header picture: Oriana's Moonlit Playground
